The economic structure restructured
The service sector of the Indian economy has contributed around 55% of India's GDP during 2006–07. The sector has come to play an increasingly dominant role in the economy accounting for 68.6% of the overall average growth in GDP in the last five years between 2002–03 and 2006–07.
According to a survey conducted by KPMG, the confidence of a robust growth in the services sector is the highest in India among the four BRIC countries including Brazil, Russia and China. |
